‘She was very beautiful…kind…but sad.’ Leia Orangana, who is a character from Star Wars, told Luke Skywalker about her real mother and also Luke Skywalker’s mother. Their mother, Padme Amidalais, my favourite character. In this movie, although she died very early, when she was alive, she always wanted the Republic to solve problems by imparling with the enemy. Therefore, she made use of her role, Queen of Naboo or Senator from Naboo, to raise suggestions about negotiation to solve some problems. She thought this could avoid some conflicts between planets and bring peace to the universe. However, while she was stopping Anakin Skywalker, who was her husband, from killing everyone, she was killed by him!
Why is Pamde Amidala my favourite movie character? This question is very simple. It is because nowadays many people always try to solve their conflict by fighting, but this is a wrong way and this will make the problem more serious. If we can assert using negotiation to solve our problems like Padme Amidala, we will have a peaceful world.
Pamde was not only a peace-maker, but also a great ruler on Naboo. Although everyone on Naboo wanted her to continue to be the Queen of Naboo, she abided the Law of Naboo and let another one to become a new Queen of Naboo. Then, she became the Senator from Naboo. This shows that she was not a careerist, but a law-abiding person. Her personality is the reason why I like her.
